New Work > Digital Painted Paper Collage

This is a new series relating to my work in painting and photography of the escarpment. I made collages of painted mulberry paper arranged over an area of 5X8 feet. The brushed horizontal lines of the paper suggest layers in geological formations near my home. These were photographed and the collage materials were moved to different positions. So the collages were temporal and no longer exist in that form but were photographed digitally to be presented as a projected image or as a print. The images are abstract yet feel like landforms.
