Urban trees
1995
Oil on Canvas
60X72inches
$5800
The great old trees in this painting are behind the Art Gallery of Ontario in Grange Park. Beyond the trees, stands an office building with square windows that are equally spaced as a grid. It struck me as a paradox between nature and man made structures. These trees looked somewhat tortured but they had survived like crocodiles from the Jurassic period.
