I am fond of painting complicated images. The challenge of orchestrating the colour shapes and the structure is engaging for me. This painting hangs on a grid which acts as a measure of time and change.
Each little square at the bottom represents an era since the beginning of time. My DNA has travelled since humanoids evolved on the continent of Africa to the west where ancestors lived in Normandy France then on to Wales and England from whence
my parents both originated.
These symbols of time are buried at the bottom of the painting as if they have fallen
into a great pond from which springs life, first in water, then in air.
DNA is a phenomenon beyond imagination.
